Sustainable Precincts
Enesys believes that by co-locating three industries that have not traditionally shared resources, waste, energy creation and growing within one precinct, we can offer the optimum potential to share resource connectivity and utilise otherwise wasted products, optimise profits and dramatically reverse the ecological damage that is caused by the same industries action in isolation.
Waste, Energy Generation and Growing Industries have enormous natural resource synergies and can benefit from sharing resources. When placed together within one community or precinct they can offer the optimum potential to share resource connectivity and utilise otherwise wasted products, increase profit and dramatically reverse the ecological damage that is caused by the same industries acting in isolation.
Enesys offers:
SUSTAINABLE PRECINCT FEASIBILITY STUDIES
Comprehensive and integrated Sustainable Community and Circular Economy Project Feasibility via our unique modelling systems. Enesys modelling provides multi-faceted and integrated platforms to demonstrate technical, economical, environmentally and financial options, feasibility, business cases and ROI for precinct owners, developers and individual business units. We offer this both independently of our linking technologies and as a part of our waste to energy to growing linking propriety systems.
ENABLING LINKING TECHNOLOGIES Enesys has developed proprietary linking technologies that enable independent businesses to co-exist within a sustainable precinct while continuing to operate their core business activities more profitable whilst transparently partnering in a larger circular economy.
CIRCULAR ECONOMIESGowLink by Enesys is designed to physically and economically link separate Industries in ways that do not disrupt core business operations, proven technologies, workplace practices, corporate or financial relationships. Our technologies are virtually transparent where the primary disruptive requirement is the need to physically operate within a sustainable precinct

INTEGRATING INDUSTRIESOur modelling demonstrates the waste, energy and growing industries can share spectacular economic and ecological benefits when they geographically and resourcefully cooperate but we can take it further than these industries and integrate into broader circular economies to include a vast array of co beneficial industries including, Breweries, Meat and Food Processing, Market Gardeners and broadacre farming, sustainable housing
Enesys can work with clients or industry suppliers in numerous ways for sustainable precinct and circular economy projects

CubeLink
CubeLink consists of modules that communicate with or control individual components of processes (CLIOs- CubeLinkInputs and Outputs) and modules that process data to and from distributed CLIOs and communicate with higher level systems or devices (CLIPs-CubeLinkInterface Processors).
CubeLink ModulesEnesys is continually developing and manufacturing CubeLink Modules to enable high levels of automation to be installed within devices or physically separated systems at a very low cost. Some of these modules are:
CLIOsCLIOs (CubeLink Inputs and Outputs) are a growing family of specific Input and Output Modules. Input CLIOs gather information from processes, like discrete status information (e.g. water flow is detected), and analogue information (eg read the water level in a tank). Output CLIO’s control equipment that makes things happen, like discrete commands (e.g. start a pump or close a gate), and analogue commands (e.g. run a lighting system at 56% of its capacity). CLIO’s may be physically dispersed over long distances to transmit data to and receive data from CLIP’s.
CLIPsCLIPs (CubeLink Interface Processors) are communication gateways to high-level control systems like PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and Computers. CLIPs can communicate using a range of industry-standard protocols, including Modbus, Ethernet, WiFi, DH485, RS232, USB) and they can also communicate over large distances with a combination of CLIOs.)
CubeTalkCubeTalk is a proprietary communications protocol developed by Enesys that enables CLIOs to communicate with CLIPs over short and long distances without interference using conventional cabling. CubeTalk provides process data transmission and system self-diagnosis data transmission between CLIOs and CLIPs. CLIPs and CLIOs are hardware-enabled and can be configured to communicate directly with various specialised devices using communications protocols like I2C (127 devices with embedded addresses), SPI (point-to-point devices), SWD (multiple single-wire devices with embedded addresses).
CubeLink Projects
Automating Algae
Enesys completed its first large scale CubeLink trial at a newly constructed algae farm and processing plant near Ayre in QLD. This highly automated process involved process control and diagnostics which included 1,900 automated valves, 129 variable speed pumps, 5 large centrifuges, and process service equipment and monitoring of 270 pH levels, 260 temperatures, 28 process flow rates (liquid and C02), 270 tank levels and 15 pressure transmitters.
The cost of conventional Instruments and PLC infrastructure to read so much data and automatically control over 1,500 valves would have crippled the project. The Cubelink module was mounted under each of the 260 tanks to control the equipment. The CubeLink modules only require a common three-wire data cable and a common power cable for the valves. In this way, PLC costs were reduced by 80% and cabling costs were reduced by 90% because the average cable run length was reduced from 35m to 1.5m. 450 CubeLink modules were installed in the project to monitor and control 3,200 devices. The system has been running seamlessly since September 2017. Enesys was nominated for The 2017 Engineering Excellence Awards for this project
Automating Urban Farming
Farmwall Pty Ltd has developed a series of innovative “café style” urban farming modules that combine herb and microgreen vertical farming with fish (aquaponics). Enesys has successfully refit all existing Farmwalls with highly automated and self-protecting CubeLink control systems and comprehensive IoT functionality.
